Reports to: Creative Content Director
Work Week
Average work week is 20 hours on-site at Contemporary Craft. Work week is generally Monday-Friday. Occasional evenings and Saturdays may be required with an adjusted schedule and advanced notice.
Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports Contemporary Craft’s marketing, communications, and storytelling efforts. Working closely with the Creative Content Director and Development team, this position helps create written and digital content, organize communications projects, support media outreach, and promote events and programs. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented person who enjoys writing, design, storytelling, project coordination, and collaborative support for mission-driven communications.
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support Contemporary Craft’s marketing and communications initiatives, including:
-Developing and writing content for fundraising materials, press releases, appeals, the annual report, website updates, newsletters, and social media posts.
-Supporting communications calendars, project timelines, shared documents, and administrative tracking for marketing and communications initiatives.
-Assisting with digital content, graphic design, website updates, newsletters, social media, and other communications projects.
-Supporting media outreach, press materials, story placements, and related follow-up.
-Helping track communications performance and using data points to refine and improve marketing efforts.
-Assisting with event promotion, documentation, and staffing for the annual gala, donor events, openings, and other organizational activities.
