Land Acknowledgement

The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh gallery and offices are located on the unceded and stolen territories of the Shawandasse Tula (Shawanwake/Shawnee) and the Osage peoples.

We recognize the historic violence and discrimination inflicted upon the indigenous peoples of our region. Associated Artists of Pittsburgh also acknowledges that our current location was founded up on genocide and forced occupation of many indigenous peoples who resided in our area. We further acknowledge and respect the great impact of the indigenous community, elders both past and present, as well as future generations and encourage others to visit www.native-land.ca to learn more about whose land upon which you currently reside.
