The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh hosts a variety of exhibitions throughout the region.
OFF THE WALL II
AAP invites our members to submit artworks for the AAP December member exhibition juried and curated by the AAP Exhibition Committee at Gallery One | Collective Works in Bloomfield. The goal of this exhibition is to generate artwork sales, when a piece sells, it comes ‘off the wall’. Patrons are invited to take purchased works home with them - directly off the wall. For the exhibition, the Exhibition Committee is requesting works no larger than 24’’ on any side and priced below $300. 2-D and 3-D works will be considered. The applications will open on Slideroom October 15th and close on November 15th. The opening reception will take place on December 13th, 2019 from 6:00-9:00pm.
MEMBER EXHIBITION: CHRISTOPHER RUANE
An exhibition of new work by photographer Christopher Ruane will be exhibited at Tomayko Gallery, Point Park University. The exhibition will open December 2019 and run until March 2020. The exhibition will be accompanied by an artist talk.
AAP MEMBER EXHIBITION AT IUP’S KIPP GALLERY
The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh will kick off 2020 with a member exhibition at Kipp Gallery, which is located at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The juror and curator for this exhibition is Courtenay Finn, the Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (moCa). Exhibition dates are Jan. 21-Feb. 14, 2020. Reception will take place on January 27,2020. Applications for this exhibition will open October 1 and close on October 31.
2020 AAP NEW MEMBER EXHIBITION
The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh is excited to work with the Brewhouse Association in the Southside neighborhood of Pittsburgh to host a member exhibition in their gallery during April 2020. Juror and Curator TBD. More details to come.
2020 EMERGING CURATOR EXHIBITION
Associated Artists of Pittsburgh’s Emerging Curator Program will conclude with the opening of the Emerging Curator Exhibition at Gallery One | Collective Works in May 2020. More information to come.
