Position: Development Coordinator
Classification: Paid, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Associate Director
Work Week
Average work week is 40 hours on-site at Contemporary Craft with the option to work from home one eight-hour day per week. Work week is generally Monday-Friday. Occasional evenings and Saturdays may be required with adjusted schedule and advanced notice.
Position Summary
The Development Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for Contemporary Craft's fundraising and development activities. Working closely with the Associate Director and Executive Director, this position helps keep grant, donor, event, sponsorship, and board-related work organized, accurate, and on track. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented person who enjoys systems, follow-through, writing, and collaborative support for mission-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
The Development Coordinator’s key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining grant calendars, deadlines, files, attachments, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation.
• Preparing drafts, templates, attachments, and supporting materials for grant requests and reports, as well as donor communications, appeals, sponsorships, and stewardship.
• Gathering and organizing program, exhibition, education, visitation, budget, and outcome information from staff for use in grant proposals, reports, appeals, and other development materials.
• Entering and maintaining accurate donor, gift, pledge, prospect, and contact information in the donor database/CRM.
• Preparing mailing lists, email lists, donor reports, and other data pulls for appeals, events, stewardship, and internal planning.
• Supporting donor acknowledgments, correspondence, mailings, and other routine development communications.
•Providing administrative and logistical support for the annual gala, donor events, openings, and other development-related events.
• Helping maintain board records, meeting materials, contact lists, giving records, and follow-up documentation.
• Supporting project timelines, checklists, shared documents, and cross-departmental communication to help development activities stay organized and on track.
