Christopher Boring: September 2026

Born and raised just outside Pittsburgh, Christopher received his BFA at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He is Studio Director at Radiant Hall in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Homewood. He is primarily a painter but enjoys creating with any material at hand. He has shown work in numerous galleries and museums nationally from Erie Art Museum, State Museum of Pennsylvania, Lynchburg Center of the Arts, Zynka Gallery, and Westmoreland Museum of American Art.

Christopher’s artwork explores mundane nostalgic moments in life. The art depicts still life and landscape imagery centered on memory. The intent to draw the viewer to individual moments in their life or to contemplate the complete breath of their life span.

Recent paintings have focused on the depiction of paper airplanes as a visual connection with memories and thoughts regaurding the current state of the world. Whether they are flying through darkness, trying to assist others, being captured, or avoiding obstacles; they navigate a world that has gained a pessimistic vibe. Despite these visual depictions of our current world climate, the lighter colors and paper planes still bring a small ray of hope that viewers can relate to.
