AAP Exhibition Committee
Guidelines
- Renew annually to remain on committee 
- 3 year term limit 
- Up to 9 total committee members (as per bylaws) 
- Membership dues must be current 
Expectations
- Actively engage in supporting exhibitions (attend exhibitions and network with other members of the arts community) 
- Attend bi-monthly meetings (Total of 6 meetings a year) 
- Can not miss more than one meeting per calendar year 
- Volunteer to help with exhibitions with minimum of 4 hours per calendar year (events, install, drop offs, etc.) 
- Provide insight, experience, connections, etc. to exhibitions 
Exhibition Committee Duties (in conjunction with AAP staff)
- Maintain quality exhibitions 
- Discuss ways to improve exhibitions 
- Locate potential venues and attend site visits 
- Select jurors, curators and selection panels (screenings) 
- Create and follow budget, adapt as needed (budget model will be provided) 
- Plan calendar of events 
- Maintain transparency with board and membership 
- Present ideas to board 
- Remain open to discussion with members and their input on exhibitions 
- Community outreach and engagement 
- Promote diversity
