A collaboration from 100 Days in Appalachia & YNST Magazine, this limited edition zine – titled NOISE – will feature essays, art, comic strips, fashion, reporting and more on the topic of parasitic technology and current industry trends, especially as they impact Appalachia and the new rural landscape. 

This zine will be published as part of 100 Days' Appalachia@250 project commemorating young adult perspectives for the 250th anniversary of the country, as part of the national US@250 initiative. Deadline to submit is August 15.

We're looking for Appalachians under the age of 30 to submit their work and ideas to this zine. All submissions will be considered for both print and digital publication. Rates for commissioned work will be based on length, style, placement and previous experience. Please fill out the below form, and our team will be in touch with more information! 

There is no fee to submit. Applicants should have connection to the Appalachian region. Artwork and writing generated by AI will not be accepted. Completion of this form does not guarantee publication. We do not typically send rejection notices and each publication may go back into our inquiry archive for specific content. If you would like to withdraw something from consideration and have not yet been accepted, please email editor@100daysinappalachia.com.
