On Thursday the 28th of January 2027, the world’s best motion design will be on show on screens in the public space in the Netherlands and all around the world.

Design in Motion Festival is curious about all the motion design out there – from abstract to typographic, from positive messages to experimental adventures. Everything and everyone is welcome.

In this edition, special attention will be given to motion works that explore hope, all within the theme The Bright Side.

Criteria:

  • Non commercial work

  • Existing or new work

  • Motion that intrigues, inspires, explores all aspects of motion and pushes the limits of the screen

  • You can send a maximum of 5 pieces of work

Specifications:

  • Size: 1080 x 1920px

  • Orientation: Portrait (9:16)

  • Duration: Exactly 10 seconds

  • Encoding: mp4, H.264

  • Frames per second: 25fps

  • Max file size: 50MB

  • Do not add credits in your work: NO title, NO credit outro
    The credit will be communicated in a special DEMO caption on top of your work

  • No sound: The screens will not play sound
