Crafting the Future Macro Grants (Due Feb. 15)

Crafting the Future Macro Grants
Deadline: February 15th, 2026

Crafting the Future's Special Project Macro Grants fund new and pre-existing projects, which support artists of color to access opportunities for art education, career expansion, networking, and personal development. CTF Macro Grants are intended to support the careers of underrepresented BIPOC visual artists by helping to offset potential financial hardships associated with underfunded programs and positions including internships, assistantships, residencies, workshops, and other projects with the potential to elevate the artist(s) in their field.

We will prioritize proposals that aim to provide opportunities for or propel the careers of multiple POC artists. Projects should demonstrate a clear intention to support artists of color. Recipients to date have included community-based organizations and individual artists seeking to provide artistic programs serving communities of color and/or to create paid opportunities within the arts for BIPOC mentors, interns, assistants, and participants who would otherwise be unable to access these experiences.

Overview: Grants of up to $10,000 are available. $40,000 will be awarded in total. We prioritize projects based in visual arts including materials-based craft and folk/traditional arts. We are not likely to fund projects which focus on performance and recording arts such as music, dance, film and theatre.

We are accepting applications from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People Of Color)-identifying artists and organizations centering these artists.
