The Assemble 6x6 is back! The 4th Annual 6x6 Art Show will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026.
6x6 is open to all artists of all ages and skill levels. Assemble will provide canvases, or you can make your own. This year, there is a challenge to remix a 6x6 from past years!
6x6 Prompt & Requirements:
Theme: Alchemy. How do you practice change every day? How do you transform the world around you?
This year, we're challenging artists to transform a 6x6 from past years. Make something new out of what you've been given. What can you create that better serves you, your community, the world?
Artwork must be 6 inches wide by 6 inches long. It may have an extended height of up to 12 inches.
All pieces must be ready to hang on a wall.
All artwork must be dry at drop off. No wet oil paints please :)
Please complete the "Drop Off Artwork" section of this form when you return your canvas.
Important Dates:
Friday, Dec 5, 2025 - Applications open! Come pick up a free canvas at Assemble (4824 Penn)
->Canvases will be available during Assemble's open hours.
Thursday, Jan 15, 2026 - 6x6 Making Workshop: 18+ Night! Get a van
Friday, Jan 23, 2026 - 6x6 Making Workshop: All-Ages Family Night!
->Canvases drop off deadline is Jan 23 at 10pm
Thursday, Feb 5, 2026 - VIP Opening Reception, 6-9 pm at Assemble (participating artists are invited!)
Friday, Feb 6, 2026 - Unblurred/Public Opening, 6-10 pm at Assemble
About 6x6 Sales:
All artwork will be sold for $30 each, with proceeds benefiting Assemble’s STEAM education programming.
All sales will be in-person at Assemble, and will be taken off the gallery wall once sold.
Sales begin on Thursday, Feb 5 at the VIP Opening Reception; all participating artists are invited to attend.
