The search for artists has gone national! We are now accepting applications from any U.S. based artist, group and organization.
Buckeye is looking to commission a new piece of kinetic art for Sundance Park. The statue will be located near the front gate and the piece of art will have a theme relating to nature in motion.
Kinetic art echoes natural forces or forms. This piece may employ wind, motors, solar or water-powered mechanisms to create movement.
Decisions on who will advance will be made by the Subcommittee for Arts & Culture of the Community Services Advisory Board. Two artists will create a design for the project, earning them $1,000 each. The artist chosen to make their piece of art will earn an additional $50,000 for completing their task.
