Are you an artist, maker, or creative entrepreneur looking to grow your skills beyond the studio? Artist Empowerment Day is here to help! Happening Saturday, August 23, from 1–5 PM at the Erie Center for Arts and Technology (650 East Ave, Suite 120, Erie, PA), this free, one-day professional development event is designed to help creatives in Erie take their art—and their careers—to the next level.
Creatives often spend years perfecting their craft, but the business skills needed to thrive can sometimes get overlooked. Artist Empowerment Day bridges that gap with 12 breakout workshops led by professionals who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of a creative career.
What You’ll Learn:
Workshops cover everything from managing finances and marketing your work to teaching strategies and arts integration.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with representatives from local organizations supporting creative careers, including Achievers Entrepreneurial Hub and Blasco Library’s Idea Lab.
