The Tomayko Foundation is pleased to announce an Open Call for Art. Artists living and working in Pittsburgh are invited to submit works for participation in a Fall exhibition which will be on view at the Tomayko Foundation, this exhibition is juried by davine byon. 

Open call dates: June 23 - July 24, 2025
Exhition dates: October 2 - November 14, 2025
Location: Tomayko Foundation

As the exhibition’s framework will not be predetermined, instead generated through the jurying process, artists working across all mediums are encouraged to submit work. Artists working in live time-based mediums inclusive of experimental dance, music, and performance art are encouraged to apply to be considered for a programmatic opportunity. 

About the juror: davine byon is an arts administrator and interdisciplinary artist based in Pittsburgh and New York City. With a BFA in video media theater design from Carnegie Mellon University, she brings a curtorial sensibility that foregrounds embodied experience and interventions of form. davine currently serves as the Curatorial Assistant of galleries and public art at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, where she also leads public programs spanning live music, experimental dance, film screenings, artist talks, and educational workshops.

Artists are asked to submit 2-5 art works. All submitted artwork must be available to exhibit for the entirety of the exhibition. With the exception of video, performance, or other mediums not generally suited for sale, the Tomayko Foundation will make its best effort to facilate art sales. Artist commission from any sale is 60% of the list price. 

Artists are asked to submit work through Slideroom, link below ($10 fee). The following materials are restricted from entry: live or dead plant material, organic materials such as food products that will decompose during the exhibition, any material that shows evidence of insect infestation or mold growth, and toxic or hazardous materials. Selected work must be gallery ready, including ready to hang or display, and must include installation instructions as needed.
