Vision Statement
The vision of the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation is to encourage, expand and sustain the courageous and imaginative dialogue that is fundamental to the arts. The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation celebrates the value of art to transcend cultures and engage with diverse communities. Through its programs, the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation supports the exploration of the common ground that art occupies, the way it engages people, and its ability to reveal our shared human experience.
Artist Residency Program
The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation is completing an award winning artist residency facility, exhibition and performing arts space creating in effect a "campus" on Foundation Place in Rockland, Maine, opening January 1, 2026!
The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation recognizes that the arts are essential to an open, enlightened society. The residency program values innovation, experimentation and creative risk-taking in all genres, known and as yet to be discovered. We envision the residency as inclusive and diverse, prompting reflection and dialogue with other residents and the community, offering the gift of concentrated time and space in which to unveil new ideas and imagine new ways of working. Residents are expected to be full time active cohort participants. Please apply with that intent. However, if an important opportunity conflicts with your time in residence, we will try to come to an equitable solution.
