FluxusMuseum currently operates as a gallery space, cinema and digital print workshop.
About The Prize
FluxusMuseum Prize for Experimental Video is now in its third year.
Over the duration of this year’s prize, €45,000 will be given to participants, with a portion used to support the development of their projects, a fee provided to selected artists for their participation in the exhibition, and the remainder awarded as prizes at the exhibition’s end.
The application and selection process for this year’s prize reflects FluxusMuseum’s commitment to fostering a participatory community, where audiences, artists, and curators collectively shape the dialogue around experimental video. Applicants are invited to submit a video proposal, which can be an excerpt or presentation, of up to three minutes in length. A panel will shortlist 100 videos, which will then be uploaded to FluxusMuseumTV—our new experimental streaming platform—where FMTV users will participate in the judging. Participating artists will receive €100 at this stage. From these, 10 finalists will be awarded €1000 each to develop their proposal, which will be exhibited as part of the FluxusMuseum Prize for Experimental Video 2026 exhibition. Another €1000 will be paid to each of the exhibited artists on submission of the finished work. At the end of the exhibition in October 2026, €15,000 will be distributed amongst the winner and runners-up.
FluxusMuseum encourages applications across art forms, whether you’re a visual artist, dancer, performance artist, film maker, animator, writer, actor, musician or none of the above, we look forward to considering your proposals.
We welcome all proposals which are in the experimental spirit of Fluxus, but not in any way bound by any particular understanding of Fluxus; proposals do not need to reference Fluxus directly in any way. In our selection process we focus on the experimental and anomalous; works deviating from the expected norms of narrative structure; works with originality, strong visual style and fresh spirit.
