The Morgan Art of Papermaking 14th Annual Juried Exhibition (Due Dec. 6)
The Morgan Art of Papermaking 14th Annual Juried Exhibition
Deadline: December 6th, 2025
This year, the Morgan Conservatory showcases its 14th Annual Juried Exhibition featuring innovative artworks from artists in Northeast Ohio and around the country (The Morgan Conservatory's 14th Juried Exhibition is open to all artists living in the United States) that highlight paper as a creative medium and active substrate. Artists who utilize handmade paper, printmaking techniques, or artist books are highly encouraged to apply. This year's exhibition is juried by Brittany Gorelick and Lillian Young.
The public reception and award announcements will be held on Friday, March 27th, 2026 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Morgan Conservatory (1754 E.47th St. Cleveland, OH 44103). The exhibition will be on view from March 6th - April 25th, 2026.
About the Jurors:
Brittany Gorelick (she/they) received their MFA from Kent State University in Print Media and Photography and their BFA from the University of North Florida in drawing, painting, and printmaking. Their work has been showcased across the United States, including the Morgan and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in CT. Internationally she has been included in group shows both in Germany and Nicaragua. Brittany is currently an Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, and Membership Chair for the Mid America Print Council.
Historical artist Lillian Young (she/her) describes herself as a painter who moonlights as a printmaker and her works depict forgotten or muted moments in Black history and the Black experience. She focuses on lesser-known black figures, stories, and objects that are commonly known by the black communities, and wants her art to start a dialogue between people about the current racial issues faced today. Lillian's works are based on historical documents and photos from various archives. Her incorporation of text plays a large part in her practice, solidifying the actuality of the events she depicts.
