107th INSTALLATIONS @ SETON HILL UNIVERSITY

Associated Artists of Pittsburgh (AAP) is currently accepting submissions for four installation works in conjunction with the 107th Annual Exhibition. These installations will be exhibited at Seton Hill University. Submissions will be accepted now through Monday, August 5, 2019. 

Four spaces of similar size will be dedicated to four different installation works. Artists will have five days to install their work and receive a stipend. Current AAP members will receive a $400 stipend, and non-members will receive $300. One application per artist, and one artist per room. For film and other similar formats, artists must provide the necessary equipment needed to view the film for the duration of the exhibition. Upon acceptance, non-member applicants will receive membership to AAP for the remainder of the fiscal year.

Proposals must include the following: 

  • 500-word proposal of your anticipated installation including materials, electrical needs, and technicalities. 

  • 1 to 2 examples of past works. 

  • Visual plans (drawings, diagrams, etc.) for the installation. (Limit: 2-3) 

  • Non-members only: Provide one-page resume, CV, or bio 

The following materials are restricted from entry: 

  • Live or dead plant materials. 

  • Organic materials such as food products that will decompose during the exhibit. 

  • Any material that shows evidence of insect infestation or mold growth.
