PAINT HAMMONTON: 10th Annual Plein-Air Event (Due. May 1)
The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University and the Hammonton Arts District are excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 11th Annual Plein-Air Event: Paint Hammonton. This painting event is widely anticipated and has previously attracted artists from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia in addition to many talented local New Jersey artists. The event takes place on Saturday, June 1st. Painters set up their easels at locations of theirchoice all around town to capture the effects of natural light, quickly painting a scene before it’s gone. $2,000 in cash awards will be awarded and all of the paintings created during the event will be included in an exhibition that starts that evening and runs through August 31 at the Noyes Gallery atStockton University’s Kramer Hall in downtown Hammonton at 30 Front Street. All artists ages 18 and up are welcome to apply. Once accepted, the registration fee is $35 within seven days. The deadline to send in the email application for the competition is May 1, 2019. Artists will be notified of acceptance into the competition on May 5th via email.

Day of Event - Saturday, June 1: 7:30 - 9:00 am: Sign-in ONLY at The Noyes Gallery, Kramer Hall,30 Front Street in Hammonton. Painting may begin as soon as registered & stamped. 3:00-4:00 pm: All works to be juried must be delivered to Stockton University’s Kramer Hall (30 Front Street, Hammonton) by 4:00 pm. All art work must be ready to hang, framed, wired and professionally presentable. Artist can enter up to 4 pieces for jury. 4:15 pm: Jury begins 5:00 pm: Awards reception starts 5:30 pm: Awards are announced. Open to the public until 6:00pm. Exhibition: Exhibition: June 3 - August 31.
All work will be exhibited at Stockton University’s Kramer Hall (30 Front St., Hammonton) in the Noyes Museum Gallery Opening Reception: Thursday, June 20, from 6:00-8:00 pm, on “Third Thursday” Commission on sold work is 40%
