The success of AAP’s 106th Annual Exhibition is due, in large part, to a generous grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation. All AAP exhibitions are supported by AAP members, individual donors, The Heinz Endowments, The Pittsburgh Foundation, Opportunity Fund, Jack Buncher Foundation, Allegheny Regional Asset District, The Buhl Foundation, S Kent Rockwell Foundation, and Irving and Aaronel deRoy Gruber Charitable Foundation.
AAP would like to especially thank these following sponsors:
For the first time ever, AAP has established an Emerging Curator Program to accompany the Annual Exhibition. The Emerging Curator will serve as a curatorial assistant for the Annual, and then go on to curate their own AAP show. Click the link on the left to learn more.
105th Annual Exhibition
The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh held the 105th Annual Exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Juried by independent curator Sarah Lehrer-Graiwer, the Annual featured the work of 56 AAP member artists and was on view from May 14 - August 15, 2016. On the selection process and final exhibition, Lehrer-Graiwer wrote: "Through making, looking, and responding, we pursue new curiosities about our subjectivity, the more peculiar the better. The cumulative effect of gathering a great many individual expressions into an exhibition- a collection of contemporaneous bits- is some measure of a shared time and place."
