ATTENTION AAP ARTISTS!

Go Retro: Come and participate in an art "Happening" on Saturday, August 25th, 2007.

Back in the 60's & 70's it was called a "Happening," more currently it has been called a "Rave." Whatever you want to call it, come join other AAP members and CMU students for a day of art on Saturday, August 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

AAP member Charlie Patterson has invited all current AAP members to participate in a free, one-day art event in his store front space at the corner of Peebles and Waverly Avenues (7720 Waverly) in the Historic Corridor in Wilkinsburg.

Bring a work of art, and your own nail to hang it with. Works in all media are welcome, including multi-media, installation, and performance art. Just be prepared to hang or install your own work, quickly. All art can be for sale, too. Come early, bring a friend, bring some food or beverage to share. Spend the day with other artists, talking art, listening to poetry, hearing music, and maybe seeing a performance piece or two. Come and
be immersed in a day of creativity!

So, if you are old enough to remember a Happening, break out your love beads and bells... and if you're more into a Rave, come prepared to party! Just come and enjoy a day of art!

The event is free and open to the public. If you are so inclined, a small donation would be greatly appreciated.
