Artist Statement

Nature is spiritual. Through the use of color and form I hope to always evoke a positive response to my vibrant landscapes.

Lila, well-known artist and teacher, has earned wide acclaim for her whimsical style, unique use of color and form and extraordinary ability to create positive emotional responses.

Her work, which has won numerous awards, has been shown at the Carnegie Museum and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and featured in private and corporate collections.

She is a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, the Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh and Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. She chaired “Through the Eyes of Children and Other Famous People” to benefit abused children. Lila was the coordinator for Art Scene for the Jewish Community Center.

Lila was the 1999 recipient of the Shore-Whitehill Award, which honors an individual who has helped integrate the disabled into the mainstream of Jewish life. In 2008, was chosen as the Leading Lady for Arts and Culture from the Catholic Diocese.
